From the Field to the Future: My Journey to Perchwell

After 15 years in the real estate industry, I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to succeed as an agent: deep market knowledge, strong client relationships, and the ability to adapt in an industry that moves fast. I’ve worked that grind myself, and now, in my role at Perchwell, I get to help other agents thrive by ensuring they have the tools they need to keep up.

Real Estate Was My Foundation

My real estate career began in property management, where I oversaw over 600+ units in student housing and later 400+ units in conventional housing. I eventually became a licensed Realtor, serving clients across Central Texas from the major metro areas of Austin and San Antonio, to the growing cities in between, like San Marcos and New Braunfels. During that time, I earned multiple top producer awards while helping clients navigate the market with care and confidence.

What I loved most about being an agent was the opportunity to guide people through one of the most important decisions of their lives. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping a first-time buyer land their dream home, especially after all the work and saving it took them to get there. I also enjoyed the strategic side of the business, spotting market shifts, guiding pricing conversations, and helping clients make confident, informed decisions.

Outside of representing buyers and sellers, I stayed hands-on with real estate as an investor. My husband and I currently own 18 rental properties across short-, mid-, and long-term markets, and we also flip homes. I’m involved in every part of the renovation process from planning to design. I build decks, install flooring, paint, and tile, handling everything from demo to final finishes. Understanding how a home is built, improved, and maintained gives me a different perspective on value and potential and it helps me speak the same language as agents when they talk about upgrades, buyer preferences, and property potential. That perspective also shapes how I contribute to tools like CMAs, listing presentations, and property detail views that need to surface the features that matter most.

Why I Joined Perchwell

I came to Perchwell three years ago, while pregnant with my daughter. I wasn’t looking to leave real estate, I just needed a role that offered more stability and flexibility while still letting me stay close to the industry I love. Perchwell gave me that, and so much more.

The transition was seamless. I still get to talk about homes, strategize with professionals, and contribute to an industry that’s constantly evolving. But now, I do it by helping agents adopt a modern MLS platform designed to make their lives easier.

Supporting Agents Through Smart, Service-Driven Tech

At Perchwell, I serve as a Customer Success Manager overseeing our CRMLS partnership. I lead onboarding and training for California real estate agents and brokerages, and I work closely with our product and engineering teams to make sure agent feedback informs what we build.

With a background in real estate sales, property management, and client relations, I bring a service-first, results-driven approach to everything I do. I understand how agents work, what they need from their tools, and how frustrating it can be when tech gets in the way instead of helping.

That’s what makes Perchwell different. We’re not just another MLS, we’re building a platform with the agent experience at its core. I’m proud to be the voice of that experience across teams, ensuring that what we build reflects what agents actually need in the field.

Final Thoughts

Learning a new platform takes time and effort but once agents see what Perchwell can do, they don’t want to go back.

My background in real estate helps me understand the challenges agents face, and my training in education helps me guide people through change in a way that’s clear, calm, and encouraging. Whether I’m walking someone through their first search or helping a brokerage roll out Perchwell across their offices, I focus on making the process feel manageable and built for long-term success.
